This ranking is my personal opinion on what festivals were best for me according to the rules explained here . I have a very particular dancer profile which may not be the same as yours, to know what kind of dancer I am, click here. From here on out this article I digress what makes the best festivals the best festivals… for me.

Why top 8 and not top 5? I come from playing a lot of Magic: the Gathering and there if you made it to the top 8, you were golden :D. I wanna keep that feeling for the dancing as well.

Top 8

Without further ado, this is my current top8 festivals in the world:

1. Latin Dance Festival(21&22) : hands down the best one. Read the review to understand why. The biggest downside is that it is an event ran fully in Spanish, as it’s targeted towards a Spanish audience.
2. Bachaturo(23&24): Review pending to come. The biggest and highest level of dancing in Europe and the best venue in Europe for a big festival(+6000 people).
3. Terra Livre Festival 2024: Role Rotation Festival. I’ve never had such an enjoyable experience, the community and the vibe on this one is just unforgettable. One room to dance SBKz the whole night with role rotation kept me on the dancefloor not knowing what was going to happen next.
4. Bachata Sensual World Congress(23&24):
5. Bachata King in Kos(2024): Review pending to come. The perfect holiday dance festival. If you like the beach and bachata, just go there and thank me later. The vibe for me was good but many of my friends felt the vibe of the event was off.
6. Sensual Week Cádiz 2022: the only festival where learning is truly the main focus. Execution could be better though that’s why it’s «only» in sixth place.
7. Bachata Geneva (21&22&23&24): Review pending to come. The best organization of any festival hands down. Makes everything easy and customer focused. The main issue right now is the venue, not many hotel rooms, and the pre-after party and social day parties were not adecuate for dancing(too hot). Disclaimer: I’m a personal friend of the organization so I may have my own bias. I try to be harsher because of it though.
8. El Sol Salsa Festival: Review pending to come. this was my best festival of 2023 but 2024 was a dissapointment. Still made it to the top 8. Most of the best dancers were gone but the venue is still the best in the world(same as Bachaturo) and i love the vibes, if you don’t like big festivals like bachaturo, come to this one(2000 people is my guess but between 5 dance floors, feels like a small festival if you only dance bachata).
